Naming Your Program and Your Web Page

Several non-Masonic organizations and businesses also use the acronym C.H.I.P. or C.H.I.P.S. to brand their program or service (California Highway Patrol, Childrens Health Insurance Program).

In order to differentiate Masonic Child Identification Programs, names MasoniCHIP initiatives have evolved with two (2) letter state code in front with no space between, xxCHIP (MYCHIP in Massachusetts, CTCHIP in Connecticut, MOCHIP in Missouri, and PACHIP in Pennsylvania).

Our Web Sites are similar www.mychip.org , www.ctchip.org , www.mochip.org, www.pachip.org

Focus group testing of "branding logos" reveiled that a "finger print image" was recognized as a universal icon for child identification and the "square & compasses" recognized as the Masonic icon or stood for something good. Pennsylvania Grand Lodge was the first to establish this MasoniCHIP "BRAND" with PACHIP.

We at MasoniCHIP thank Grand Master Ronald A. Aungst, Sr. of Pennsylvania for allowing MasoniCHIP and Masonic Grand Lodges engaged in Child Identification, the copy rights and graphics to develop a "Family Brand" logos for MasoniCHIP. We are now able to design and offer these to involved Masonic jurisdictions at no cost.

We have developed "Family Brand" Logos in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator which are available to your Masonic Jurisdiction, just for the asking. You can also customize your own and we can provide just the "finger print" or "square & compasses" to your designer. We recommend that your jurisdiction adopt similar notation in an effort to promote common branding and eventually afford common publicity for all Masonic child identification programs through MSA (Masonic Services Association).

All Masonic jurisdictions are encouraged operate their child identification programs under tax-exempt entities to enable contributions from non-Masonic entities, corporations and foundations.

Common branding of publicity and brochures is also encouraged, such as "sponsored by Maine Freemasons", or "Colorado Freemasons" and "Missouri Freemasons". In terms of the promotion, adding a tag-line "a part of MasoniCHIP" affords publicity in one geographic location to benefit all.
